How NyxoPlay handles your information — in plain language.

This Privacy Policy explains how NyxoPlay (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it. NyxoPlay is an IPTV media player for Android phone, tablet and Android TV. It is built so that your data stays on your own devices and in your own accounts — we do not operate servers that collect or store your personal information.
1. Our approach to privacy
NyxoPlay is private by design. The app connects directly to the IPTV provider you configure and, optionally, to your own cloud storage for sync. We have intentionally built NyxoPlay without any backend service of our own, so there is no central database of users, credentials or viewing activity.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, transmit to ourselves, or sell any of the following: your name, email or other identity details; your IPTV provider credentials; the channels, movies or series you watch; your location; advertising identifiers; or analytics about how you use the app. Because we run no servers, this information never reaches us.
3. Information stored on your device
To work, NyxoPlay stores certain data locally on your device, including: the connection details of the IPTV provider you add (such as server URL, username and password); cached catalog data (channels, movies, series and the electronic programme guide) so the app loads quickly; your profiles, favorites and playback progress; and your app preferences (language, playback and EPG settings). This data stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
4. Connecting to your IPTV provider
NyxoPlay is only a player. When you add a provider, the app communicates directly with that provider's servers to authenticate and stream content. Your use of any provider is subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy. We are not affiliated with, and do not control, any IPTV provider, and we do not receive a copy of that traffic.
5. Optional cross-device sync
If you choose to enable cross-device sync, NyxoPlay stores a small set of data — your favorites, playback progress and selected preferences — in your own Google Drive so it can travel between your devices. This is entirely optional and stays off until you turn it on. The data is written to your Google account, not to us. You can disconnect sync at any time from the app's settings, and you can delete the synced files directly from your Google Drive.
6. Google account access and Limited Use
To provide sync, NyxoPlay requests access to Google Drive using the drive.file scope. This scope grants the app access only to the specific files it creates in your Drive — it cannot see or touch your other files. NyxoPlay's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this access solely to provide the sync feature, we do not transfer it to others, and we do not use it for advertising.
7. No analytics or advertising
NyxoPlay contains no third-party advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not build a profile of you, and there are no advertising identifiers in use.
8. Data security
Information stored on your device is protected by the security of your device and operating system. Synced data is protected by the security of your Google account. Because we keep no copy of your data on our own infrastructure, there is no central store for an attacker to target.
9. Children's privacy
NyxoPlay is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. As we collect no personal information at all, no such data is gathered through the app.
10. Your rights and choices
Because your data lives on your own device and in your own Google account, you stay in control. You can edit or remove your provider details in the app, clear cached data, disable or reset sync, delete synced files from your Google Drive, and remove all on-device data by uninstalling the app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; since we do not hold your personal data, requests are generally fulfilled directly through these in-app and Google controls.
11. Third-party services
NyxoPlay relies on two kinds of third party that you choose: the IPTV provider you connect, and (if you enable sync) Google Drive. Each has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles your information. We encourage you to review them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
